As ever The Doctor’s Orders like to keep you on your toes and we do that tonight not only by inviting a Drum & Bass legend to spin an exclusive Hip-Hop set but also by bringing you one of the hottest MCs to be coming out of the US right now.

Jumping Jack Frost is without a doubt one of the most influential names in D&B. Having started life as Reggae, Funk, Soul & Hip-Hop DJ back in the day before he got swept up in the Acid House movement of the mid 80’s following that into Hardcore and then Drum & Bass. Alongside his existing DJ partner Brain Gee he set up V Recordings which specialised in the Jazzier Soulful and dare we say it more Hip-Hop influenced side of D&B with releases from luminaries such as Roni Size, Krust, Dillinga and many more. Tonight the man joins us for our final On The Real party of the year to go back to his roots as he spins an exclusive Hip-Hop set for our fun loving crowd.

Performing live on the night we have one of the most exciting MC’s to emerge in the last couple of year Stalley. When someone has the likes of Rick Ross & Dame Dash in their corner you know they have to be paid attention. This Ohio native came to many people’s attention when his ‘Born To Win’ track was used in a Nike promo (http://tinyurl.com/cve272s) but with two mixtapes, including the brilliant ‘Lincoln Way Nights’ (http://tinyurl.com/44qos4p) and an now an album on its way with Rick Ross’ Maybach Music Group it is not long before Stalley is the name on everyone’s lips. With a sound drenched in the soulful breaks of the golden era and a style uniquely his own he is the perfect match for The Doctor’s Orders dedicated heads.

As ever our special guests will be welcomed by the best line up of residents of any Hip-Hop club. Spin DoctorMr Thing & Chris P Cuts will as ever be tearing up the dance-floor with classics new and old making sure you are left looking forward to more On The Real events in 2012.

The Doctor’s Orders have been working through their wish list of guest MCs and DJs slowly but surely for the last 5+ years of establishing themselves as “the kings of the capital’s Hip-Hop scene” (Time Out) and tonight they tick a name off that have been on that list since day one. J-Live represens the real underground that is so crucial to Hip-Hop’s survival so we are blessed to have them both perform live tonight.

J-Live has over 10 years experience as a MC, DJ & producer during which time he has established himself as one of the most popular artists to never fully cross over to the mainstream. Having worked with producers including DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Jazzy Jeff, Prince Paul & DJ Spinna alongside MCs including Mos Def, Talib Kweli & El Da Sensi his back catalogue of 4 full length albums, 2 EPs and countless singles and guest verses has seen him perform across the globe perfecting the hugely energetic show those wise enough will enjoy on the night.

Refusing to be pigeon holed this fully qualified teacher does not shy away from any subject matter. Managing to rock the party with lyrics about anything from US foreign policy to philosophies on life and love is testament to Harlem Bred J-Live’s personality and ability on the mic.

As ever these visiting guests are welcomed by one of the strongest resident line ups in the land as London’s finest Spin Doctor, DJ 279 and Chris P Cuts set the mood with their brilliant party blend of classic and brand new bangers while host MC Prankster the Trini Glasiata keep the vibe bubbling!

The World B-Boy Championships finals at London’s Brixton academy have become the most anticipated international live Hip-Hop event of the year and The Doctor’s Orders are excited to be hosting the official warm up party.

For this event we have lined up not only three of the event’s DJs in the shape of Philadelphia’s Skeme Richards & London’s own DJ Renegade alongside On The Real resident Shortee Blitz but also BBE Record’s legendary “Kings of Digging” Kon & Amir. With this incredible line up of DJs those wise enough to make the journey to what is already well established as London’s best monthly Hip-Hop party will be blessed with an incredible bled of Hip-Hop, original soul and lashings of B-Boy funk!

Kon & Amir first came to underground prominence through their brilliant series of “On Track” mixtapes of Soul, Jazz & Funk breaks that had sampled by the best producers in Hip-Hop. This dedication to finding and then sharing these often unknown gems meant they were the names on all Hip-Hop and Soul fans lips quickly bringing them to the attention of BBE Records with whom they have now released four compilations of brilliantly funky hard to find cuts.

When DJing Kon & Amir always bring a flavour of their labours digging through the dusty crates of the world but still keep it mixed with better known and much loved classics in a classic party style that only the dead can’t dance to.

In room 2 we are gonna be throwing things open to all the B-Boys & girls as we welcome two of the world’s most respected and best loved B-Boy DJs, the Rock Steady Crew’s own Skeme Richards & London legend DJ Renegade. They will be spinning the beats & breaks that will keep the cyphers on the floor doing the same!

Shortee Blitz is a shining light of the Hip-Hop scene in the UK. Whether supporting traveling US stars, holding it down on one of his weekly Kiss FM show or tearing the roof off clubs all over the globe one thing is for certain and that is that this MOBO award winning DJ is always going to be spinning with a smile on his face. Even more so now he is a resident at for a night dedicated to the Hip-Hop & Soul styles he truly loves.

DJ 279 has been rocking the airwaves since 1992 on London’s Choice FM. With MOBO nominations coming thick and fast `alongside other awards throughout the year and gigs around the world it is fair to say that Numbers has the ear of the underground with every MC worth his weight in gold plaques coming though the show to shout out London. His sets at On The Real have become a highlight of the night and always leave the dance-floors sweating and smiling.

Spin Doctor is the driving force behind the phenomenal success of The Doctor’s Orders and while not planning domination of the UK’s party scene is most at ease behind a set of decks. The early influence of his 5 older brothers and sisters record collections developed into an obsession with soul tinged music of all styles which he uses to this day when treating dance-floors to his fearless sets of party platters.

On mic duties as ever is the host with the most MC Prankster with his combination of Caribbean and American heritage combined with his London swagger there is nowhere to hide but the dance-floor with him hyping the party.

Few tunes have been heard as regularly at The Doctor’s Orders events over the past 5+ years as those recorded by the greatest Hip-Hop group of all time A Tribe Called Quest, so we are ecstatic to have one of their three members in the shape of Ali Shaheed Muhammad join us for an Exclusive DJ set at On The Real.

Queens Natives A Tribe Called Quest reshaped the Hip-Hop scene with the release of their five classic albums that all pushed the soulful, jazz drenched sounds that became not only thier trademark but that of Golden Era Hip-Hop on the whole. With a catalogue of stone wall classics such as ‘Can I Kick It’, ‘Award Tour’, ‘Electric Relaxation’ ‘Scenario’, ‘Bonita Applebum” and the Dilla produced ‘Stressed Out’ the Tribe sound is as popular today as ever. Having recently reformed to tour and with a documentary on the band due to be released shortly A Tribe Called Quest are now back on top of the game where they belong.

Away from Tibe Ali was a founding member of the production outfit The Ummah, alongside Q-Tip and J-Dilla, producing great tracks not only for Tribe but Busta Rhymes, D’Angelo and Janet Jackson to name a few. He then went on to show an even more soulful side of his work in founding Lucy Pearl alongside Raphael Sadeeq and Dawn Robinson. With this wealth of musical experience behind him this exclusive DJ set it sure to take a guaranteed packed house through a great journey of Hip-Hop, R&B, Soul and beyond.

As ever these visiting guests are welcomed by one of the strongest resident line ups in the land as London’s finest DJ 279 and Spin Doctor set the mood with their brilliant party blend of classic and brand new bangers. Holding down duties on the mic are our host MC Prankster the Trini Gladiata who will be keeping the crowd involved with his classic crowd hyping style while the brilliant Skillit joins us for a live PA.
