“In West Philadelphia, born & raised” it was at only 10 years old that the man now known across the globe as The Magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff first started Djing block parties. Since then he has rocked in every country with a set of turntables and firmly established himself as the best DJ on the planet.

He rose to fame alongside Will Smith as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, winning the first ever Rap Grammy Award and achieving several gold and platinum selling records. More recently he has produced records for everyone from Slum Village & The Roots to Mac Millar & Bart Simpson always sprinkling them with his ‘Touch of Jazz’.

For all real Hip-Hop fans it is as the most phenomenally talented DJ that he is best known and loved. Never once known not to set a dance-floor alight his technical skill, musical knowledge and song selection and the triple threat that have cemented him as the best DJ in the world bar none. As ever his show is complimented by his long time partner in rhyme Skillz on the mic.

The line up marking this landmark occasion is no exception with good friend of The Doctor’s Orders & founding member of the ‘world famous’ Beat Junkies DJ Babu joined by his partner in crime the incredible Rakaa Iriscience. Together they are the Expansion Team Soundsystem, represent two thirds of Dilated Peoples and are responsible for some of the best true school Hip-Hop of the last 15 years.

The Godfather of Boom Bap is back and rocking a real club set!

DJ Premier is bar none the single most respected and infuential producer in Hip-Hop, not just today but for the past 30 odd years. His signature ‘Boom Bap’ sound, honed through his years as one half of the legendary Gangstarr, alongside the late great GURU, is the definitive sound not only of ‘Golden Era’ Hip-Hop but of New York Hip-Hop as a whole.

Having produced bangers for every of Hip-Hop’s greatest MCs his discography is the most complete of any producer out there. From Biggie & Jay-z to Busta & Nas to Luda & Snoop & even as far as Limp Bizkit & Christina Aguilera there is no one that DJ Premier hasn’t worked with without ever loosing that signature ‘Premo Sound’.

Part of his phenomenal success is the man’s constant work ethic. When not in the studio he is constantly on the decks either recording for his ‘Live from HQ” podcast or touring and it is this constant drive that keep him one of the most exciting DJs to hear in a genuine club setting like you will here tonight.

Also flying in is a man who would be happy to describe himself as DJ Premier’s protégé; Statik Selektah, another producer who has a classic Boom Bap sound and sick skills on the turntables. With production credits for legends like Q-Tip, Talib Kweli & Mobb Deep as well as new school acts like Mac Miller, Joey Badass & Freddie Gibbs this is one producer who will continue to rise.

Supporting our visitors as ever is a cast of The Doctor’s Orders favourites who spend their life ripping up London’s clubs in the shape of The Foreign Beggar’s own DJ Nonanmes, Mr Thing & Spin Doctor and. Cypress Hill and Soul Assassins DJ Muggs hits London on Wednesday 9th November at Brixton Jamm as part of his “Bass For Your Face” European Tour.

Support on the night comes from the UK’s “1st Lady of Hip Hop” DJ Sarah Love, who has also just been confirmed as Aloe Blacc’s official UK tour dj in December.

As part of a heavy hitting hiphop dj line up, Choice FM’s DJ 279 also blesses the decks together with DJ Snuff (End of the Weak / Speaker’s Corner), El-B & DJ Raggs. As part of the overall night, Muggs will also be dropping some dubstep in Room 2 along with Choice FM’s Rod Azlan, Rinse’s DJ Chef, Sub FM’s DJ Enme with the night hosted by MC Crazy D.
